This is one big announcement! yes, I have a gallery now. I have been maintaining a gallery of my sketches for a long time with a free coppermine host but few months back it went down for some unknown reason and there went my all the images and comments and users! So I decided to put up a new gallery here in my site, krishanu.in so you got one coppermine gallery containing all my sketches and paintings and some of photoshop by-products. Currently it has two categories and four albums which might or might not grow with time. Krishanu's Gallery
Hosting a online gallery used to be a long cherished dream of mine. And when actually it did happen around 2 years back I was so happy. people seemed to appreciate my sketches and other drawings too. But few months back my gallery went down, poof! All my imagesĀ along with comments were gone which was pretty sickening. So I decided to host one gallery myself with my present host ExperTrio.com. I was trying to decide between Gallery 2 and Coppermine gallery but it seemed general opinion choice was CPG, so CPG it is. Also I have that comfort factor with CPG as I used it before too. As of now it has two main categories and four albums. This list might get longer with time or might not. Though I am trying to start sketching for past few years but I failed miserably everytime I tried. I just can't find that kind patience and passion for it anymore, I don't know why. Now a little introduction for each of the category and albums in it. This is a collection of all my sketches, drawings, doodles, pastels, water colors, collages etc etc, all kind of art forms that I tried my hands on. before I go any further I should mention that I did this almost 7 to 8 years back, after my high school, I am not into these anymore. And only art form I ever liked is sketching. I was somewhat comfortable with it. And for those who are wondering I must be an artist, here is a word of caution, don't confuse between a copier and real artist, I just happen to have an eye for arts and a keen observer and also can copy well (sometimes!) what I see. Most of these pencil sketches have been done using 2B, 4B or 6B pencils and 2B clutch pencils. In some occasion I used charcoal too but that's rare. All these have been photographed with my SE K750i and then resized and auto leveled in Photoshop, apart from that it's pretty much in it's original form. Though I have been a fan of pencil sketches, I had to try other forms of arts too. I extensively used water color till the point I realized that I am no good for it. Basically water color was required for my arts diploma, I was pursuing then. But beside water color I did lots of experimental artworks which were mainly motivated by my art teacher. I liked the pastels, collages and lots of other weired stuffs! After I gave up sketching, I started falling in love with Photoshop
which was no coincidence. I had started with Photoshop 6, then 6.5,
then 7 and then had to leave my home for my job. So there was a brief
gap of few years and when I came back home after two years, I
rediscovered my old flame and got off with Photoshop again, this time
it is CS3. Well, I just like to play with all the nice feature this
software has, not into any serious designing stuff so don't heighten
your expectations much! These logos are made for our old group in Yahoo! "STCET CSE 2005 Batch", for the people passing out of STCET in the year of 2005 from CSE batch! That group has ceased to exist now, though we have a group in Orkut but participation is very low now. But anyway I kept all those logos, all these years, it kinda makes me nostalgic, loads of memories. Anyway you take a look and write me few lines if you like it. :) I have made few wallpapers for many occasion, especially for my old site "Inner Circle" which is dead now. These wallpapers were great way to learn the new cool Photoshop tricks. Nothing fancy, just a noob toying with a fancy piece of software so be merciful while commenting! :) I hope you will definitely like something in my gallery and comment there if you liked it. |
