After much template browsing, code editing and photoshopping, I finally settled for this new template which is now in place. This happens to be a FREE theme from SiteGround which provides some cool looking themes for both Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5.

Before settling for this theme I tried all sorts of theme including paid and free themes from all of the Joomla template service providers. But I was rather astonished that all the free themes usually worked quite well right away, though it lacked the bell and whistles that paid templates provide and in some cases these free templates are severely crippled! But I have to say that I found them less buggy, yes for some paid templates I have seen some coding bugs that should have been taken care of in its first release itself.

Anyway there is no point reiterate myself so Rather I'll discuss the design aspects of this template. This template is crippled in a sense that most of the template position are not present in this template which is definitely a business decision which I don't really quite agree to. You don't have to provide 20 crippled theme, rather give us 5 fully functional theme, based on which we will make our buying decision. Anyway I won't need all those template positions anyway and this template is also kinda temporary till I find a suitable alternative.

I have modified this template to some extend with as less coding as possible like changing footer and removing one ugly logo of SiteGround. And I also changed the otherwise bland looking header of the theme, basically I made two versions, one rather simple and the other one is the final version that you see in my site right now! I am providing here screenies for both the versions, take a look and tell me which one looks better to you and be honest!
